Korean Ambassador and High-Level Delegation Visit InterCHARM Professional 2025 — A Landmark Moment for K-Beauty in Russia and Beyond

Moscow, April 2025 — InterCHARM Professional, the leading exhibition for aesthetic medicine and professional skincare in Eastern Europe, the CIS, and Central Asia, had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by Ambassador Mr. Lee Dohoon and Madam Kim Haeji.

The high-level visit marks a significant milestone in the development of Korean-Russian cooperation in the beauty and wellness sectors. Joining Their Excellencies were:

  • Ms. Lee Eunjoo, Counsellor
  • Mr. Park Jung Gon, Minister Counselor and Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Moscow
  • Mr. Kim Seong Su, General Director of KOTRA Moscow

The presence of the Korean diplomatic mission at InterCHARM Professional underscores the increasing strategic importance of the Russian beauty market for Korean brands. It is also a strong sign of institutional support for Korean companies seeking to expand their footprint in Russia and neighboring markets.

According to recent data, Russia is now the 6th largest global market for Korean cosmetics, following China, the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. In March 2025 alone, Korean cosmetics exports to Russia rose by 40% year-over-year, reaching $28.9 million — the highest monthly volume since November 2024. Including haircare and hygiene products, the total import value reached $35.8 million.

These figures not only highlight the robust demand for Korean skincare among Russian consumers but also confirm the long-term growth potential of K-beauty in the region.

“We see a clear potential for expanding the presence of Korean cosmetics in Russia, and our goal is to increase supply volumes and strengthen long-term partnerships with Russian counterparts,”

said one member of the Korean delegation.

“Skincare remains the dominant category where South Korea continues to lead.”

“InterCHARM Professional is more than an exhibition — it’s a strategic gateway for brands looking to expand into Russia, the CIS, and Central Asia,” said Nikita Smirnov, Direct of Business development at InterCHARM. “We are honored by the attention and support from the Republic of Korea, and we look forward to further strengthening our collaboration.”

The Korean delegation’s visit sets a new precedent for international engagement at InterCHARM Professional and reflects the exhibition’s growing role as a key B2B platform for the global beauty industry. With each edition, the number of Korean exhibitors continues to rise, helping connect innovative K-beauty brands with distributors, clinics, salons, and retailers across the region.

The InterCHARM team encourages Korean companies to build on this momentum and secure their presence at upcoming editions. Participation in InterCHARM Professional is not only a commercial opportunity — it is a government-recognized platform for leadership and long-term success in the Eurasian beauty market.
